| Thought #29 Kids can climb trees. Can you?
(Go on. Try that one. But trust me, it's gotten harder)

| I was eating lunch just now and the t.v. in the living room was on. A commercial for CSI came on advertising how CSI will be set in "Sin City". Between dramatic, dark scenes and shots of detectives and lab analysts, the announcer says, "SIN......NEVER.......SLEEPS" And these lines started going through my head, so I wrote them down Do you know the time we live in? We're at battle, we're at war But we walk around like zombies Satan's best strategy for sure Are apathy and ignorance and mediocre lives The sin that's all around us Luke-warm Christians cannot fight Yet we fight in the strangest way We get on our knees and pray We are ordinary soldiers With an extraordinary King And this battle is ours This war is ours to win But woe to him who falls asleep The spirit's willing - the flesh is weak Lock arms, then, and stand Stand together through this night The dark is nearly over But for now we fight |

| Thought #28 Adults are very aware. Aware of rules, aware of what is expected, aware of social guidlines, aware of their schedules, aware of what is polite, aware of what is politically correct, aware of social ques, aware that there is a time to talk, a time to sit, a time to stand, a time to ask questions, a time to refrain. So very aware. bleh......I'm aware of a test I should go study for. |

| Today was a roll-your-windows-down-while-you-drive kinda day. A smell-the-fall-in-the-air kinda day. I LOVED IT!

| Lately, I seem to constantly be in
between wishing I could act like a kid and trying to act my age (which is an adult-ish
age. Heavy on the “ish”). This is why I’m
starting a xanga-post series that I’m christening the appropriate title, “Thoughts
on the Differences Between Children and Adults” (I put a lot of thought into that)
Basically, for each new post I put on here I’ll come up with a thought
that comes as a result of my own experience, an experience of a friend, or a
totally random observation.
Because of
the frequency and consistency of my xanga updating, I should have enough for a
2007 thought-a-day calendar in no time.
And because that last sentence was a lie, I'm going to start with a big number to make myself feel better.
Thought #27
Adults deal
with stress. However, yelling “Everybody HATES me! Nobody ever listens to what I want ever!!!” and then stomping away
and slamming a door, is (apparently) no longer an option. |
